The Australian Industry Capability (AIC) team develops and implements the Naval Group strategy and plans for achieving the industry objectives of the Future Submarine Program (FSP).

These objectives include maximising Australian industry involvement and creating a sovereign capability to build, operate and sustain the future submarines.

The AIC team is involved in industry engagement activities, industry capability gap analysis and development options, developing policies, procedures and guidelines, educating stakeholders, reporting and, as the program progresses, will have an increased focus on research, development and innovation.

The team collaborates very closely with the Procurement, Transfer of Technology and Engineering functions and maintains a high level of knowledge on government policy and the broader defence ecosystem.
