The Engineering team in France and Australia will design the Future Submarines to meet the requirements of the Royal Australian Navy based on the reference design of France’s Barracuda submarine.

Naval Group will transfer over 400 years of submarine knowledge to Australia to design, build and maintain the Future Submarine, ushering in a new era of sovereignty as a submarine nation.

They will play an integral role in the Transfer of Technology to Australia throughout the design, build and sustainment phases of the Program.
